Leg shaving question

Leg shaving question
Has anyone found that after shaving when the hairs start to grow back that their legs are intensely itchy and/or that they've got ingrowing hairs. This has happened to a friend of mine and she's just ripping her legs apart at the moment scratching. I shave and I've never had this problem so not sure what to advise.
The only thing she has changed is a razor lately from a swivel head one to an ordinary one.
She uses basic soap and water to shave with and has done for years.

Answers:

I get itchy legs when the regrowth comes through after I've shaved them. It's one of the reasons why I epilate or wax rather than shaving.

Answers:

Maybe she should use an aloe vera cream or something to cool down her legs during regrowth?
But personally I only shave when i'm desperate for silky smooth legs when i cant be bothered waxing or epilating, even under arms it gives me wild itches with the regrowth (so only wax/pluck/epilate my underarms now too)
I'd op't for her to wax or epilate if she is getting problems shaving, as the itching and extended pain the irritation would give, isnt worth the extra discomfort she would be suffering because of the regrowth (which would be ever day or every 2 days).

I've been shaving my legs for 15 years now and have never experienced itchy regrowth or had ingrown hairs.
I have always used "men's" razors. proper 3 blade types, and never use them more than 2 or 3 times, before changing the blades. the sharper the better. if a rasor has been left lying wet I throw it away even after one use as this blunts it too.
I always use proper shaving cream, or gel to get a really close smooth shave
I always wash my legs with a exfoliating sponge to remove dead skin and hair - every day. if you dont exfoliate peoperly you'll get ingrown hairs or blocked pores.
and I always moisturise after shaving - baby oil or the likes to stop my skin drying out

I have always shaved, and never had that problem. I use L'Occitane soap for shaving as it gives a really rich lather. I would say the soap your friend is not right or rich enough. Do mine in the bath just lay there and lift legs up.
