Question:
L'Oreal Double Extension Mascara - did I get a dud?
Hi all
This is the second time Ive bought loreal double extension (gold/white double ended tube)
The first time I bought it, it took some time to get used to it, but i eventually loved it, and thought id found my HG. People were always commenting on how nice my eyes/eyelashes looked and the more savvy ones asked me which mascara I used :lol: ;)
I had no hesitation in buying a second tube when the first ran out. Now the second one, didnt have the same effect as the first. It took longer to get used to (ie that initial overly thick gloopy effect) and did not elongate or thicken the lashes like the first tube. It was also clumpy, right until the tube finished/dried out.
I thought I would look for another mascara, but after searching
through your posts/reviews on here, I can see its really popular with you, so maybe the second tube I got was faulty?? :confused: is that possible? cos the effect it had was so different to the first tube?
am i making sense here :o :o
my point is, shall i risk re-buying it (when I dont have that much money to fritter away) or try another cheaper mascara?
can the same mascara be different from tube to tube
and should i be working rather than posting here :lol: :lol: :eek:

I'd give L'oreal a quick email and just explain what you said here. They may offer a replacement if you're lucky! I've never experienced a difference between the same brand of mascara before - I use Rimmel btw. Maybe buy a cheapy whilst waiting for a response from them.

It's possible you had a faulty one - unlikely though! Nevertheless, if you call L'Oreal's Consumer Advisory line on 0845 399 1949 and tell them about this they should send you another one free of charge. It helps if you still have the dodgy one so you can give them the batch number for checking, but don't worry if not.
