Question:
How long before a big event should i get a facial done
I've got a big fun party type thing to go to next wednesday, so approx eight days.
i've got a voucher for an express facial, half an hour, cleansing toning and moisturising.
How much in advance should i get it done so that I'm not spotty for the day?
thanks:)
Sorry to say but you have left it to late. I woudlnt get any type of facial done more than 2 weeks before just in case!
really?? why two weeks? does it take that long for the spots to go down?
:o Ive booked a dermalogica facial for tomorrow afternoon, and my boyfriend moves back home on friday  Ooops didnt plan that one too well then.
I would say 2 weeks is prob best before a big do, just incase you had a reaction to it.
2 weeks seems a bit excessive to me but if it is your first one with products you don't know then maybe other posters are right and you should leave it til afterwards. Facials are the sort of thing you get the benefit of over time so don't expect them necessarily to spruce you up for an occasion. If you are feeling as though you need a bit of help between now and then I would suggest that you:
Using good quality products:
1. Thoroughly cleanse skin (all skin movements up and outwards)
2. Face scub (plenty of recs on board)
3. Steam if oily
4. Apply suitable mask (moisture one on dry areas, oily for oily areas). One mask rarely sufficient.
5. Tone
5. Massage in cream or oil to moisturise.
If you've got dry skin do it twice before event but not within 24 hours of event.
If you've oily skin every 3 days or so.
If you follow a cleanse tone routine daily you should see some general improvement.
