Question:
Omega-3
Morning everyone!!
Do any of you take an omega-3 supplement? I was reading last night that it was good for hair, skin and nails, and was just wondering if any of you can confirm it. Or, if you've started eating a lot of oily fish, have you noticed that your skin has improved?
What other food do you eat or supplements do you use that have made a difference to your hair, skin and nails?

Udo's choice oil - this is a mixture of all the omegas and recommended by nutritionists as one of the finest oils for the omegas you can buy.
I bought it not for my skin particularly but for healthy balance really. The real plus was my skin being fantastic. It seems to balance all types of skin!!! Takes about a month to kick in.

What did you notice, Nell? My skin's been really dry lately and I read this last night and thought it might be worth a try.
I've seen Udo's Choice recommended absolutely everywhere so I'll see if I can get my hands on that brand. I used to eat a lot of oily fish but I stopped when I started eating flaxseeds, then I cut those out and haven't gone back to including it.
I can't say I noticed a real improvement with the flaxseeds, but then I started taking them for my diet anyway, so probably wasn't looking for benefits.
Anyway, I'll give it a go.
Thanks!

Well its funny really I just sort of remember thinking how nice and plumped up my skin looked and I hadn't had a single spot in ages (don't get spots much anyway).
I remember thinking my skin looks sooooo goooood and they all say the same in my health food shop. It seems some take it for acne, some for the menopause, some for health etc.
Funny thing is I should deffo take my own advice, as I havent taken it for the last 6 months and I have been struggling with skin looking dull and greyish - a link there and I am about to go out later and get back on it.
Look on it as saving you money on skin products - I would also recommend Lavera lavere hydro sensation energys cream as your moisturiser, brilliant stuff. Jo Fairley from the beauty bible swears by it too. www.lavera.co.uk

Thanks Nell, that sounds brilliant.
I've just started a new routine with Dr.Hauschka so I've got a few tubes to get through before I can change moisturisers again, but I quite like it anyway. It's a bit greasy (I'm using the quince AND the rose ATM) but my skin doesn't have major dry patches at the moment, like it did a few weeks back. I think I just need to watch it a bit more and have a go with the Udo's.
Thanks for the recommendations!
