Best gradual tanner for pale skin
Question:

Best gradual tanner for pale skin
As there are so many gradual tanners around now I'm finding it difficult to work out which would be best for my skintone. I'm very pale (MAC NC15 is too dark for me; well, in Studio Fix Fluid anyway!) but I found that Dove Summer Glow in light barely made a difference to my colour and I had to apply a lot regularly to see anything. I like the Ambre Solaire tan maintainer as it's a great colour on me but slightly too runny (the Dove is too thick to get out the tube properly!).
I was thinking of trying the Nivea one, or the L'Oreal one. But I'm worried that the darker shade will be too dark. Does anyone have any comments?

Hi,
I also have really pale skin. I tried the johnson's one, but found it sometimes came out a bit streaky! Now i'm using the Garnier Summer Body - which is really good.
The colour looks quite natural and it go on easy and dries really quickly.
I got it in Boots at £2.49 (as it was on offer at 1/2 price)
SS

im fairly pale too, but have been using the johnsons one and get on with it great! as long as you apply it evenly! i've never had any probs. i even used the darker shade, which for me just speeded the process up, saw a difference after one application, and it means that if i dont do it everyday, its ok. but maybe start with the lighter shade.
alot of people dont like it though, so i think its a case of trying a few (expensive i know :( ) and seeing what suits you best!

I tried a sample of garnier summer body and it definitely showed up (I did it on one lower leg only not thinking it would show up as much as it did and now I have to wear trousers until it wears off!!).
I'm v pale too (NW15 Mac stick) and even paler on my legs. I think Summer Body is a natural enough colour but too dark for me. I don't want to look tanned, just not bluey-purpley white. I might try Dove summer glow in light and see how I get on since Lora said that was pale.

Yeah, it's the expense that I don't really fancy! I'm torn between the Garnier, Nivea and L'Oreal ones so it might just have to make a decision when I'm in the shop!
