Question:
wax virgin! any tips girls?
even though everyone has said the veet cold strips are rubbish I went and bought some today lol any dos and don'ts before I give them a try? as you can tell I'm a wax virgin lol I can see something happening and I'll end up with some bloody rash all over my legs while I'm on holiday. I have sensitive skin and always get shaving rash and stuff :(
this was for when I had my first professional wax, but the concepts are still the same. Read here

I used these for the first time a month or so ago and actually thought they were quite good - one thing I would say though is it says on the instructions to rub them between your hands to warm them up - I put mine on a warm radiator for a couple of seconds and found the results much better. For me rubbing them between my hands didn't get the wax warm enough - the results were far better when the wax was a bit warmer - just be careful not to make them too warm!
It was quite painful I have to say - but I have bought some more so will definitely be using them again. Another thing I would say is that it says it lasts for up to 4 weeks - for me it doesn't last anyting like 4 weeks - 2 at the most I would say.

I did a patch last night just to make sure I won't come out in a nasty rash but it seems fine :) I'll try putting it on the radiator for a short time tonight :) 2 weeks at the most seems fine. I'm going on holiday tomorrow and I really cant be bothered to shave all the time :( Thanks very much!
