Question:
Epilators
I'm looking to invest in an epilator, but before I do, I'd like to know if anyone has used one and what their experience of it is? Does it really stunt the hair regrowth and how much does it really hurt? Plus, any specific recommendations for which epilator I should get?
Thanks,
Beepy x
You can get an epilator from SuperDrug for £12.50, i've used it for over a year.
Its just like industrial tweezing, so weakens the root which helps slow down the growth and makes the hair appear thinner.
You could always get the area waxed previously, wait for some regrowth and then start epilating so that the area has less density of hair (and will grow at different rates) which will reduce the pain.
Hi. First time posting for me.
I,ve just bought a philips satin ice epilator from argos reduced to £35 from £49.
It's got an ice pack fitted to it which sort of numbs the area as you are ripping out the hairs.
I'm a really hairy monster and i would say it's uncomfortable but bearable.........waxing is much worse.
like the previous post suggests, i had waxed about three weeks before so i am using it every couple of weeks to take off the regrowth.
I wish I'd discovered these years ago. I'm sick of shaving in the morning and having 5 o'clock shadow by teatime. And how embarrassing to accidently rub against some strangers leg in the swimming pool and take their skin off with your stubble!!!:o
it does hurt a little the first time u use it, but you get used to it, and in a strange way it becomes fun! ;) It does stop regrowth being so quick, I prefer it better than shaving, my only complaint (if you can call it that) with it is that it doesn't seem to leave you as smooth as shaving and I have had terrible problems with ingrowing hairs

Hi angelic_voice
Can you use this on your underarms as well? Sorry for the hijack.
