Question:
waxing virgin!!
I've read Ohara's thread about waxing but need some reassurance. I think that I'm very hairy (the embarrassment in writing this is huge by the way!!) and want to go for a bikini wax, is there a limit as to how much they'll take away cos it'll take ages? I mean, will they be like "jeez we need the hedge trimmer in here" or do you think it doesn't matter?
Also I got waxed once before and got an horrendous rash. What's best to avoid this? I'm really sensitive to pretty much everything, even aloe vera. I think it's cos it blocks my pores up? Would I be better just to go commando after I get it done to stop my pants rubbing!!??
Thanks girls, am feeling super :o about asking all these silly questions!!
Hello
Whereabouts are you based? If you post location then people can recommend a good salon near to you. I think it is a really good idea to go somewhere that has a good reputation or has been recommended for your first go, then you can be assured that the beauticians are professional and good waxers.
Re: hairyness, really i wouldn't worry, a good waxer would never be so unprofessional as to make you feel embarassed about how you are, and an experienced waxer has seen it all anyway! As i said, go for somewhere that is recommended to you.
Re: reactions etc, again talk to the salon and they can do a test to see if you react beforehand if necessary. There are some salons that use organic/special waxes, might be worth looking into...?
As i said let me know where you are based, i know a few in central London that i would recommend but if you aren't in that area other baggers will prob be able to help
ooh thank you, that's a good idea about asking the salon to test some on me.
I've actually got a salon recommended to me already. I'm just quite scared and worried about the hairyness. But I know that what you are saying about professionalism is right, I'm probably just being a baby as per normal!!
