please help quick!!!
sorry if this is slightly O/t, have posted in health too, but i need help quick!
my eye has swollen up (think it may be hayfever), and i need a quick fix to get the swelling down. ive tried cucumber, and thats helped a little, but not enough. im going on a big night out tomorrow and need to look gorgeous! please help.

have you got any optrex? You could try bathing it in that, or if it's hayfever take some sort of tablet like antihistamine (sp?)

no ive not tried optex. ill try that, thanks. been taking anti - thingys though!

Whenever I cry my eyes swell up so I end with with big 'bug eyes'!! I have always found that something really cold soothes them and brings the swelling down a bit - I usually run the cold tap and keep splashing my eyes, or I soak a flannel in really cold water and hold it to my eyes for a bit.
I hope you manage to get it to go down!! :)
p.s. I don't know which tablets you are taking but piriton (sp?) are quite effective, they can make you drowsy though.
this is going to sound bizzarre but a used tea bag thats been in the fridge for a few hours will make a good eye mask - the caffeine will help absorb any excess fluid round your eye
