Question:
Is it the done thing...
...to have a Brazilian wax when you're on your period?
Sorry if this is a bit crude but 2 weeks ago I booked to have my first ever Brazilian for this Saturday. Only trouble is, I came on yesterday and now I'm thinking it would only be polite to cancel. Surely the poor beautician is going to see enough down there, without a white string as well?? :o
I'm gutted as I go on holiday on Sunday so if this is not the thing to do then I'm not going to be able to get it done before I go away :(
Should I ring and ask, or just ring and cancel??
I've never had one but if it was me then yes I would cancel and re-arrange for next week when you know its over n done with.
Im sure iv heard something about us ladies feeling pain more when we are on our period, so it would probably hurt even more and put you off for life!
Strangely enough I'm not that worried about the pain thing, it's more the beautician having to work round the 'string'...
Obviously it will be spotlessly clean down there, I just don't think she's going to want to see that on top of everything else down there?! :o
Maybe it's worth calling the salon and asking (as discreetly as possible) what their policy is on this, as maybe they don't perform Brazilian's when it's that time of the month for a client.
Don't give your name or anything, and if they say they do do them, then you're fine. If not, ring back later and cancel with a different excuse so they don't suss it was you ringing in the first place!
