Question:
insect bites, scars and healing
As you may have seen from my other thread I have been gettinmg lots of insect bites during the nite and I am yet to figure out whhat it is and how to stop them as insect repellents are not doing the job. Anyway I really don't want to end up being left with scars after been bitten as both my legs are affected quite bad.can anyone recommend something i can use to speed up the healing process and to stop scaring?
My legs have been bitten from thigh to ankle over the weekend and they are driving me crazy with the itching.
I have been using Calamine Lotion, which is a light pink liquid you apply using cotton wool. It sooths the bites and promotes healing and should take the sting and itching out of your bites.
Hope this helps :)

Um me too and I can't work out why as it's not happening to my other half or colleagues.
Perhaps I'm just tasty.
Have been using aloe vera gel with added tea tree oil in the hope that they'll heal quickly. They do seem to be, but there are new ones almost every day.
Enough already
Arrrrrrgh! These are doing my head in too!
Couple of ideas for you:
According to my mum, if you are on the Pill, creatures are more likely to bite you due to your increased oestrogen levels !!
Also, she swears by beating marmite to ward them off (sopmething to do with Vitamin B content) - its worked for her, think she has only been bitten once or twice!
I know they sound ridiculous - I'm not having you on but they really do seem to be right!

Yeah I've heard of the vitamin B thing too. If you take it for a bit it's supposed to make you not taste nice ;)
