Question:
tanning naturally whilst wearing fake tan?

I normally always fake tan with fake bake, but since the weather started getting so hot (when you sweat more etc) i find the tan starts going patchy sooner, and generally looking a bit ropey in the bright glaring light outside where everyone can see you and generally obvious that im wearing fake tan!, so anyway ive stopped wearing the fake tan the past couple of days and tried to tan naturally, surprise surprise ive just ended up going pink and have now put the fake tan back on!
So can you tan naturally whilst wearing fake tan? Does anyone know a way round these problems?
Oh and also (sorry!) do people fake tan themselves on holiday? - my holiday's coming up, and being as i dont tan well naturally, i dont know what to do!

I haven't noticed my fake bake going patchy in the heat! Are you exfoliating thoroughly beforehand and letting it dry properly before sleeping in it?
All I can think of otherwise is exfoliating every few days and applying it more frequently. Either it's not sinking into your skin properly somehow due to the heat or other products you're using, or you're shedding skin at a faster rate :confused:

Hi, I also use fake bake, and tan naturally at the same time.
I usually fake bake once a week, making sure that my skin is well exfoliated first, and then after I have washed it off the next day I moisturise a lot to keep the colour.
At the same time, I do sunbathe, but you have to be careful because even if your skin appears tanned, its not! So I keep it to an hour at the most in the sun each day, and make sure I use SPF30 at least on my face SPF15 on my body where I tend to burn. As the summer goes by you notice that by the end of the week your "fake bake" hasnt faded because your skin is naturally darker.
I have to admit I tan easily though, I just find fake tanning keeps the colour more even and I think my skin is not so damaged because I also use suncream.
I think for your holiday stick to the fake bake, it is so much better for your skin, and the colour is the closest to any natural tan that I have found :)
apparently u can tan thru johnsons holiday skin. u cud just cover urself in wash off tan wen u need2look perfect n wash it off wen u sunbathe or get sunbeds!
You will tan through all fake tans though unless that have SPF in them.
