Question:
What the hell is in my hair???
The other day I washed my hair as normal and when I blow dryed it there was a bit sticky patch on my crown. I had no products in my hair at all.
I have washed in about 7 times since then. Today I put a blob of shampoo onto the spot on dry hair and then shampooed and rinsed twice lathering all around the area. Dry my hair, NO DIFFERENCE! In fact it's getting worse.
What on earth is it? :( It's sticky to the touch and kind of crunchy. Like if you put a blob of mousse into dry hair and let it harden.
Please help, nothing is shifting it :(
I have had this exact same thing only at the bottom of my hair a few years ago. I thought someone had put glue in my hair but it wasnt the right texture or anything. I honestly don't know what it is its a very strange thing indeed!
is it in your actual hair, or close to the root?
If its close to the root, I went through a period where literally nothing would shift the 'clumpness' of a patch I had - turned out it was just my hormones producing more oil in that place?
It's not build-up from the shampoo you're using is it? I had that with Sunsilk. Try using a different shampoo, especially a clarifying one or something like Head & Shoulders that's quite strong.
I could be cradle-cap, like what babies get. If you use a shampoo designed for cradle-cap, this could shift it. It may have appeared if your head rubs in the same spot all night when you are sleeping.
