Question:
For all those who had a bad reaction to Olay!
Hello there,
I recently started a thread because I had a bad reaction to Olay's thermal polisher and from some of the responses, it would appear that I am not alone. I phoned Olay to complain and they were interested to know what happened, cos I use other bits of theirs and haven't had a problem.. with proof of purchase they will give you vouchers to cover the cost, so if you have had a problem, it may be worth giving them a call.... be warned though they ask for a blow by blow account of your symptoms, how much you paid etc etc..... But the lady was very nice, they obviously want to keep customers happy!
:)
its nothing to do with keeping cvustomers happy - although it helps!!
all cosmetic companies are ruled by a new european directive when dealing with allergic reactions- they now by law have to take a detailed account of your symptoms, and if necessary send you to a dermatologist - however they do not have to give you a refund but if you do go to a dermatologist and have patch testing and its confirmed the product caused the reaction then they have to compensate you either by refund or by exchange - most companies will just exchange it straight away rather than sending u to a dermatologist!
the new law means that there will eventually be a list detailing all figures relating to allergies to cosmetics, skincare and fragrance but not sure if it will ever be made public!
