The 'here' effect
  I just got to wondering how many lurkers there are out there, and how much (together with the baggers who post, of course) we influence what people buy. I know when the Regenerist Thermal Polisher had a major thread going there was none to be had on the shelves, and after a fairly recent thread (I've been away for a bit) I've just gone on to the Bliss site to order the Steep Clean mask, and there's a message -
"We're sorry, unfortunately we will not be able to ship this item to you until Jun 30, 2006.
We had it, but there was suddenly this crazy mad rush of people who all wanted it and then it was gone"
Obviously sites like MUA will have an effect too, but maybe we have more power than we realise!:eek:

well i think the lady at microplane thinks im a complete loon for ordering 18 foot files!




I imagine that there are quite a number of lurkers, and that a lot of people go out and buy products that have had numerous rave reviews.
