Body brushing causes thread veins
Question:

Body brushing causes thread veins
Is this true?? I frequently exfoliate and body brush and have been told that body brushing actually causes broken cappillaries and those purple thread veins... is this true does anyone know?
I have one or two tiny ones on the outside of my upper thigh and are paranoid about getting more :(

Answers:

It can cause them if you brush too hard - I learnt this the hard way I'm afraid!

yikes i always put a bit of elbow greaseinto it as i think it'd be more effective, might lay off it for a while, thanks Kinkerbell :)

Unfortunately i have a few thread veins on the side of my face that i can only really put down to over zealous exfoliating with facial scrubs.

I've just bought a body brush and would have been vigorous! So you need to be gentle. Any other tips I should remember.
Also the facial scrubs. Should be gentle and rounded bits. For once the synthetic ones are generally better because no sharp edges on them unlike natural ones. I must admit that in the past I've gone for the harder variety feeling that they would really remove the top layers. I'd get scrubs and wonder where the scrub was. I currently still have some of Liz Earle's which is (I think) pretty hard and I still get the urge to give it a good rub! So if anyone's thinking of buying it be very careful with it.
I was shocked when I bought the Neutrogena one recently to use on my back that it didn't seem to have any scrub in it but that's the way they should be.
