  Hi Ladies,
I hope someone can help. Im 25 and am getting married in September :yay: and also TTC so came off the pill last July. I was on Diannett as when I went on it as 15 was a bit spotty.
Now I have come off it my face has exploded in spots - all from my cheekbones down. They seem to be getting worse!
I eat very well
I never sleep with my makeup on - well unless i hae been on a night out and am incapable which isnt too often :p
Help! It is really depressing me and I so dont want to be spotting or scarred for my wedding :(
Any advise??

Hi Soppy,
First of all congrtulations on your impending wedding :yay:
I've never been on any contraceptive pill, but I would advise you to speak to your GP about the effect coming off Dianette has had on your skin.
Perhaps he'll be able to prescribe something to clear up the complaint, or give you further information. Explain that it's getting you down, and that as it's a direct result of coming off the pill you thought maybe they might be able to help?
Other than that I'd advocate a healthy diet, plenty of fruit, veg and water.
Get lots of rest, and cleanse and moisturise daily. It may be an idea to invest in a blemish control face wash/scrub.
I've heard that St Ives Anti Blemish facial scrub is good?
Sorry I can't be of more help :(

The spots are probably due to stress. Witch hazel as a toner works well as it kills the bacteria to prevent more spots from forming.
There are antibiotics available which can help, but I'm not sure if they are suitable if you are TTC. Go and speak to your doctor and see what they suggest :)

If you think it's a result of coming off dianette, definitely go back to your doc. There will be something else you can go on, not necessarily the pill. Get yourself some Mask of Magnaminty from Lush to help ease the congestion and in the meantime you might want to treat the spots with tea tree and lavender essential oils (be careful not to use undiluted without patch-testing first!), freederm or a product containing benzoyl peroxide or salicyclic acid.
Good luck and congrats on the wedding :)
