Skin Question
I've been using Oil free foundation for absolutely ages now, as I used to have problem skin.
However since being on the pill my skin has calmed down and I wondered if it would be safe to switch back to foundations with oil, or is it better as a rule to use oil free ones?
If your skin has settled now, I don't see why you shouldn't go back to foundation with oil in it. You can always switch back if you need to.
On the other hand, if your skin is getting on well with the oil-free foundation, there's no real need to change.
I would imagine that unless the oil free one is now drying your skin out that your skin is still moisturised enough and if you switch to a moisturising one you might end up with excess oli again.Probably an oil free one is better anyway because even if your oily skin has cleared up, oily pore clogging makeup could cause spots all by themselves on normal skin.
Thanks for the replies. I did want to try Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse but wont be worth it if my skin goes bad again!
If you really wanted to try a differnet one and your skin did breakout with a new foundation you could just go back to your old one and your skin should sort itself out again seeing as it's the foundation that's causing the problem.I was just saying what could happen but you should definately give the maybelline one a try if you like the look of it, you can always switch back.
