Question:
Having a bikini wax done with ingrown hairs
Hi, I realise that bikini waxes have probably been done to death on here so apologies for starting yet another thread. I did do a search but couldn't find an answer to my specific question.
I normally do my own bikini wax or use depilatory cream but have booked myself in for my first ever professional one tomorrow (eek) as I've recently found the wax strips I use less effective for some reason.
Problem is I have a few ingrowing hairs that I've not managed to get rid off despite regular exfoliating (although off to try Nads now after reading some of the other threads!). Will that matter when I get my wax tomorrow or should I not get it done until I've cleared these up?
Oops, didn't see your post in time. It wouldn't matter, although ingrowns after waxing may be a problem. Cheap solution is a few crushed aspirin mixed with a bit of water, applied to the area for a minute or so and then washed off. Mind you, there are some people who get ingrowns despite doing all the right things to avoid them.
