Question:
Restylane for dark circles?
I read an article in Grazia a while back about the use of Restylane in the eye area. Apparently, it works by simply filling ou the hollows under and around the socket that cause, or draw attention to, the dark circles.
I've browsed the web but i can't find anyone in the UK that seems to want to carry out this procedure- some say that because Restylane requires vigorous massage to "set" it in place, it makes it unsuitable for the eye region. BUT i've found several Doctors/ clinics in the US that carries it out, and apparently the secret is to build it up gradually and this lets you judge the depth of fill you need.
Has anyone else heard of this? To find a cure, rather than a concealer, for dark circles is the holy grail of beauty treatments for me! I've tried dozens of topical products ranging from £5 to £50 and not one of them has ever made a significant difference.
Corset-gal, I work in a private clinic that offers Restylane, but I've never heard of using it for dark circles, (believe me, if they did I'd be the first in line, mine are horrendous!!!!) I will ask the nurse who does all the non-surgical, and let you know.

I've had restylane, not in the eye area. Even if it was available for that area no way would I either - I can't imagine anything more painful to be honest than having injections in there.
Right, I had a word with our non-surgical nurse, and she said she would not inject anywhere near the eye area it's far too delicate. However she has heard about a new product called I think Tearcal that is supposedly really good for dark circles and as soon as she gets any info she will let me know.
