St tropezing face and moisturiser?
Question:

St tropezing face and moisturiser?
What do you all do when using St Tropez (mousse) on your face?
Do you tend to use a moisturiser underneath it or go without?
I always have used a moisturiser underneath (actually used Dr rose day cream mixed in with sudocrem tonight), but I find it makes the tan go on weird, it comes out okay in the morning though, it just feels kid of tacky when it's on.
Do you have a preffered pre tanning face moisturiser?
Sorry for all the questions, it's just that I want to get back into regular fake tanning again because I've not used it for ages and I look like crap!

Hi
My facial fake tan routine- I put moisturiser on my face before I've started with my body. I leave the facial mosituriser to sink in for about 10 mins and then wipe the moistiriser that hasn't sunk in off with a tissue or a clean face cloth. Then I slap on the tan, and it's worked for years for me.
One thing, don't use a greasy moisturiser before you fake tan. Fake tan used to need a lot of moisturiser to stop them going streaky, but the ones today already have some moisturisering agents in as people were getting sick of waking up streaky. Well, this is according to a beautian friend of mine.
Hope this helps

I know what you mean, my dr H rose day cream is very greasy, but I felt i needed it as my skin gets dry after using a face mask (which I always do before fake tan, to prep!)
I actually do pretty much the same as you (leave it to soak in a bit, then wipe the moisturiser off before I tan my face) but I think due to the consistency of the sudocrem/rose day cream, that's where I'm going wrong!
Which moisturiser do you use if you don't mind me asking?
I think I'll wash my face with olive oil after my face mask to combat any dryness (don't know why I didn't think of this earlier!)

I moisturize the morning of putting it on and then apply the mousse on the evening which seems to work fine :)
Does anyone find the mousse doesn't make them as dark as the spray?:( Wish i had stuck to my spray now.

I've never tried the spray Cat, but I really like the mousse! It's easier to build up a darker colour iyswim? Some people like to apply one layer, leave it an hour or so, then apply another layer, and then another! (This is only if you want to go from lily white to nice and brown in one go), I've tried it before and it works!
(Nowadays though I'm too lazy so just go for one layer!)
On a completely different note, I've had a major disaster with St Tropezing my chest :o
Do you rmemeber me saying last week I went on the sunbed and really sunburnt my chest? weell I've got major peeling, I mean like my whole chest is peeling of in big sheets (sorry that's disgusting!) anyway, I thought I'd picked it all off (:o) and exfoliated last night, St Tropezed over that but oh no, I'm still peeling so you can imagine what it's like! It looks terrible. My oh is going to laugh at me!!
