MAC brushes Q
Question:

MAC brushes Q
I'm thinking about treating myself to a set of really nice brushes. I bought a TBS foundation brush the other day but I'm really disappointed. I think as it's synthetic it's not really soft enough so it leaves brush strokes.
I'm now thinking MAC. I know they do brushes at Christmas but they don't seem to do them the rest of the year?
There's a nice set on ebay but the brushes are short-handled. I guess they will be more convenient for travel but will they be as good?
Thanks!

Estee Lauder and No.7 do nice brushes - the estee lauder foundation brush is wonderful!
The thing with brushes is that it's all a personal thing - treat yourself to an hour or so in Boots, Debenhams, or House of Fraser (delete as appropriate!!) and go round the different brands, feeling and testing their brushes!

Hun, Mac do brushes all yr round. I agree with the advice given, go round testing them yourself an find the ones u like best. Oh I also tried the Body Shop foundation brush and was dissapointed :(

I really like the MAC eyeshadow brushes but am not keen at all on the powder brushes.
I've heard benefit's powder brush is supposed to be really good. It's got a good rating on MUA.
I've just ordered the discontinued Tony and Tina set....that's got 100% reviews too :)

Thanks for the replies.
Sorry I meant they only do the brush SETS at Christmas - I think!
Well the set I am looking at on ebay has all the brushes I wanted:
foundation, blusher contour, liner, eyeshadow blender and concealer.
I think I will test in store to convince myself though.
CiC - I daren't go into Benefit at the moment - far too much nice stuff! I'm really pleased with the 'realness of concealness' set I got the other day. x
