Question:
Does drinking lots of water really help your skin?
Hello ladies
I have noticed recently that my skin is starting to look awful. I can't put my finger on what it is...a bit grey, tired, dry and flakey in some places, a few stubborn blackheads and starting to wrinkle around the eyes :( I bought myself some Olay regenerist thermal skin polisher which seems to be making it a bit smoother but every time I read any advice on skincare people always mention that drinking lots of water is beneficial.
Is this true? It seem such a simple solution. Tbh, I hardly drink any at all and I wonder if that might be contributing to my problems? I only really drink fruit juices and the occassional cuppa but if switching to water would help my skin then I'll try anything! I wondered if any baggers had any miraculous skin clear-ups from upping their intake of water?
Thanks everyone :)
Hi India,
Yes its true! Ive started drinking more water and Ive noticed a big difference in my skin. My skin looked dull and I was getting fine lines around my eyes but now that I drink more water, my skin looks more radiant and the lines are less visable. Its due to you being dehydrated so start drinking more water! It really does make a difference. I dont get spots too often but when I do I make sure I drink alot of water and within a few days the spots are gone.

I second Carinapieries....
I started drinking about 2l of water a day a year ago and I've noticed a definite improvement in my skin. Sometimes at the weekend I forget to and within a day or so I definitely notice a difference around my eyes. They don't look quite so bright and the fine lines are definitely more noticeable.

there are so many schools of thought on this one ;)
Some bods say that water cannot help your skin, instantly, as such, but over all is good for all your organs which is obvious ,as the body is made up of a very high % of water...don't know the actul maths, off top of head
I find that I do feel better if I drink water throughout the day and of course it flushes you through  which is a good thing!
I'd say carry on drinking the water.it can only do you good generally, BUT , apparently too much can be dangerous....so little and often is the key I believe!
down that glass and bottoms up gals!
