Question:
Spots on back - any ideas how to get rid?!?!
Hi,
My boyfriend has started to get lots of red pimple/spots on his back. They aren't very nice and he's become really self conscious about them. Only some have "heads" on them, the rest are just really red. He always has baths/showers and is hygenic and doesn't have spots anywhere else.
Has anyone else suffered from spots on their back? Can anyone reccommend a shower gel or cream he can use. He used to use a Lynx one with exfoliating bits in it and now he uses my more milder Dove shower gel. Will going on the sun-bed every now and then make a difference?
Any ideas are greatly appreicated! Thanks,
PL x x
Going on a sun bed will only increase his risk of cancer. Please dont go for that option!!
Acne is a medical condition which can be treated quite sucessfully with medication. I would suggest he go to the doctor. This will save so much time and money invested in trying out the hundreds of products on the market.

Thanks for this, it probably will work out a lot cheaper - will try and make he go to the Docs - he's soo stubborn! lol.

I get spots on my back too & recently I've been using St.Ives Apricot Scrub (the sensitive skin one) along with Freederm & the combination of the two products seems to be working. I have to use something gentle on my skin as it's very sensitive but if your bf's skin is a bit tougher then he could probably use stronger products. Saying that, your best bet would be going to see the doctor as sparklystuff said. This will save trying out loads of acne-fighting body washes that don't usually work.
But please, please, please don't use sunbeds!!! They increase the risk of cancer & age your skin so I'd stop him from using that if I were you.

hi my boyfriend suffers from something similar and he's found the only thing that made a difference was medication, his back is practically clear now, so would definatly try and encourage yours to do the same if its making him really self conscious. my boyf also tried the apricot scrub and it did initially have a good effect drying the spots up, however i think it did him more harm than good in the end as it completely dried his skin up waaaaaay to much!but different things work for different people i guess.hope thats of some use, just wantd u to know there is a solution!xx:)
