Question:
help - whiteheads!
hi, i need help:( . i recently bought new decleor face cream, one for dry skin as my skin started to feel really tight and flakey:o , probably to do with the time of year i was thinking.
anyway i think that i now have more whiteheads than i used to:( , do you think it could be the cream, would it be too rich for my skin???
a friend suggested using dermalogical skin smoothing cream to see if that would help.
anyone any ideas

hi nutty,
It could well be to do with the cream i think - I've done that before; used a rich cream for my dry skin and come out in spots :(
when that happened to me i simplified my routine, and just used the ordinary E45 is a moisturiser, and the the thick stuff on dry areas... however if your skin is dry all over, you probably do need something more nourishing (but won't make you break out!).
Tricky isn't it?!
I don't suppose that was much help really, but I'm sure someone else will have some suggestions of a good nourishing moisturiser that won't bring out whiteheads.

Aren't whiteheads a result of the body producing too much sebum and hormone related? I might be wrong but that was my understanding, suffering from them myself in recent years.
If you're skin's only recently become dry and flaky maybe it's more to do with changes within your body than any creams you're using on your face.
I've found some creams do make my skin worse but in terms of spotsa in general. The whitehead problem has remained constant throughout.

well yes, i think so, but some rich creams can make them worse i think. (that's what i read somewhere!:o )
help - whiteheads!
Makeup can also cause them, certain pigments in blush can cause them too.
