Hi Coop, sorry to hear you've got the beggers too, this is something I've always battled with.
In no particular order, clarins beauty flash balm - in fact their whole skincare range generally - work really well for me. I use clinique face perfect foundation and it covers things up pretty well. Clarins can be a bit pricey to go out and get a whole new routine on the spot, but I'd be happy to mention more specific good things from their range if you're interested. (They should pay me commision!)
In general drinking 2 litres or more of water a day (boring, i know) and not having the water too hot when I wash my face seems to make a difference worth mentioning, honest, honest - almost lukewarm water in the morning and just warm in the evening, with a gentle facewash lotion.
I guess if you have these too you might have tried a lot of this kind of thing though?!

Maybe a retinol product might help.

Laser is about the only quick & easy way out of these. If you don't want to mess around, though, buy a good primer like Smashbox or Clarins Instant Smooth to use under foundation. You can wear them on their own but I prefer Clarins Flash Balm for a glow if I'm going out without foundation. This also helps with the craters.
