Question:
What's this all about
I have recently started having Dermologica facials in an attempt to clear my skin up for my wedding. I had my first one last month (which was lovely), the beauty therapist mapped my face and gave me instructions on what products to use and when so I bought the lot which cost me £150 but thinking this would last me a while I didn't mind paying it.
I went for my second facial last night and when I got home, I read the little prescription thing that she wrote for me and she has suggested completely different products
I now have an almost full anti bac mask and skin refining mask which I'm not supposed to use now, and I'm expected to fork out more money for medicated clearing gel.
Does anyone have any experience of Dermalogica facials? I'm not sure whether she is just trying to make a sale or not. Surely you can't be expected to completely change your products every month? She has tossed in a couple of samples for me but the routine is supposed to be daily so two samples isn't enough.
That sounds a bit odd, surely your skin can't change COMPLETELY in just a month. Hmmm
my thoughts here are that she's trying to sell more products (do they work on commission?)
I had a dermalogica facial once last year. She also sold me a whole load of products that did absolutely nothing for my skin. They seem to be all about commission if you ask me!

That's what I thought!!
I think you might be right Blondeange, either she's after the commission or she's just rubbish, I'm not sure yet. Either way it's not good! I'm not sure what to do now though, I've got less than five months to get my skin under control and I cannot afford to buy a completely new regime, but in the same breath, I don't want to use products that aren't recommended incase I make it worse. I think I might go to see her next week with both of my prescriptions to hand. Don't know if it will do much good though.
I would carry on using the products that you purchased. Obviously they are trying to sell you the whole bloody range, but you dont need it.
I have the two products which you have and they are ok, not brill just ok I also have the medicated gel but find Neutrogena Overnight Gel (or something like that) 10 times better - save your money :)
