Beginning of the end for The Body Shop?
Question:

Beginning of the end for The Body Shop?
L'oreal have indicated that they may buy.
Not a company known for its ethical ethos, Nestle is its parent company. Is this the end of The Body Shop as we know it?

Answers:

TBS has agreed to the takeover, there is a thread further down the page.

Unless L'Oreal has something special up its sleeve it could be the beginning of the end for TBS. I've read other makeup forums today and loads of people are disgusted about it and planning to boycot.

It reeks to high heaven to me - probably one of the worst decisions in retailing so far.
mind you that seems to be the way htings are going - people were astounded when Green and Black's got bought out by Cadbury's but it still happened so this L'Oreal + TBS tieup although HORRIBLE isn't excatly surprising.

Terrible news this but did expect it would go ahead:(
Ive not used the BS in years as not been happy there and with their products but they were better than companies like L'Oreal. Im annoyed at the whole thing and will not be going near the BS.
How L'Oreal can claim they have not tested on animals since 1989 is unreal - they claim this on their website:mad:
Not good news this.................:(

What does this mean then? Will any of the products change or the prices?
